The long overdue return of Donatella Versace proved to be as lavish as everyone expected. Decked out from head to toe in glitz and glam, the designer did not disappoint. Dior has stepped its game up for the new collection as well. Stand in designer Bill Gaytten received much more praise that last season’s show. Floaty silk gowns were subtle, but classic, and proved to be a hit.
Armani Prive, the new collection from Giorgio Armani. The heavy music went along perfectly with the bold shapes and lines. Chanel’s luxurious spring/summer collection proved to be most dramatic, in the best way possible. As guests approached the run way they realized they were walking into a life size jumbo jet. Complete with retro luggage lockers and a champagne trolley. Old schoolair hostess trotted around with signature Chanel skirts had a 60’s feel to it.
